August 1 - Kelley is very excited to be awarded the project to renovate the Topeka facility of Harvesters - The Community Food Network.  This excellent organization is upgrading to better serve our community.

May 02 - Work has begun on the first phase of the Interior remodel of the Topeka Shawnee Country Public Library.

April 25 - Kelley is pleased to be awarded 2 new projects for Washburn University.  We we be remodeling 5 lockerrooms for the Athletic Department over the summer and remodeling the restrooms in Mabee Library.

November 30, 2016 - Work continues on the Salvation Army Warehouse Renovations.  This is a re-purposing of our 2001 project to build the structure.  The previous warehouse space will now serve as a community center for east Topeka.

November 17, 2016 - Shawnee Heights support services have moved into their new building.  This PEMB included insulated metal panel walls, R30 Simple Saver roof insulation, and polycarbonate light panels.

October 21, 2016 - Kelley has been awarded the contract to renovate the Topeka Shawnee County Public Library front entrance complete with snow melt systems and new exterior furnishings.

October 20, 2016 - We are apparent low bidder for the new nearly $2million Washburn University Art Museum addition.  This would mark out 16th project for Washburn along with numerous small service jobs.

September 15, 2016 - Renovations of Waters Hall Room 400 are completed for Kansas State University.  This project will provide office areas to graduate students in the Ag Econ Department

August 24 - Kelley has been awarded the warehouse remodel of the Topeka Salvation Army Citadel.  This is remodeling a space Kelley built 16 years prior for use as a gymnasium.

June 21, 2016 - Work is nearing completion on Constitution Hall, the first stone building in Topeka.  In 1855, the first Kansas Constitution was drafted leading the anti-slavery movement in Kansas.

April 20, 2016 - Kelley was the apparent low bidder on the Shawnee Heights USD 450 Support Services Building, a new 7,000 sf office and facilities shop.

March 29, 2016 - Kelley was apparent low bidder for the locker room renovations for Washburn University's new track teams.

March 252016 - Congratulations to Lawrence Country Club on the opening of the newly renovated dining room and bar.  Kelley is happy to be a part of this exciting update.


January 6, 2016 - When K-State had a failure of a wall panel on their Natatorium, Kelley was able to provide emergency crews the next day to demo and safe guard the building from further damage.

November 26, 2015 - Thanksgiving services were held in the newly renovated Church of the Holy Cross in Overland Park.  This was an excellent design and Kelley was glad to be involved.

November 5, 2015 - We are pleased to awarded the contract to provide structural updates to the historic Constitution Hall.  This 1855 Topeka building was home to the Topeka Constitutional Convention opposing slavery.

August 8, 2015 - The relocated therapy pools for Washburn University's Athletic department have been placed in use.

June 8, 2015 - Congratulations to Sacred Heart Church in Emporia on the dedication of their new entryway and adoration chapel.

June 19, 2015 - Congratulations to Lard Noller Ford on their newly renovated facility.  We are very appreciative for their business and wish them continued success.

April 13, 2015 - Work is underway on the renovations of the Church of the Holy Cross in Overland Park.

January 17, 2015 - The Grand Opening of the new Childrens Library Addition of the Manhattan Public Library brought large crowds of eager users capping a year of construction.

November 5, 2014 - Work has begun on the new Chapel and Walkway Addition for Sacred Heart Church in Emporia.

August 6, 2014 - Kelley will begin our second project in the K-State Veterinarian School as we remodel the Equine CT Scan area.

January 25, 2014 - Ground breaking was held for the new Children's Library Addition to the Manhattan Public Library.  The 10,000 sf addition will add significant resources to the children's services.

January 20, 2014 - Washburn's Human Services Office is starting the new semester tomorrow in remodeled offices at Benton Hall.

January 17, 2014 -  Work is underway on 3 K-State projects, Ice Hall, Justin Hall, and Willard Hall.  These along with recently completed projects at Waters Hall, the Honors Housing facility, and Jardine Apartments have maintained our presence at KSU.

January 6, 2014 - Temporary fencing is up and preliminary work is started on the Manhattan Public Library.  Winter is providing challenges for work to begin.

November 7, 2013 - Kelley is apparent low bid on the expansion of the Manhattan Public Library's Childrens Library.  This 10,000sf expansion will significantly increase the size of the library.

October 14, 2013 - Kelley recieved notice that our Echo Ridge project received an American Architecture Award from the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design.  Congratulations to el dorado for this national award

September 18, 2013 - Kelley has begun our second project for Wanamaker Woods Nazarene creating a Childrens Worship and Multipurpose room in their existing gymnasium.

September 12, 2013 -  We were awarded a contract to improve the energy effieciency for Bldg 210 Warehouse for Kansas Army National Gaurd.  This is one of many projects we have been involved in for the Adjutant General's office.

September 3, 2013 -  Work has begun on remodeling an existing credit union into the new offices for the Kansas Credit Union Association.

August 15, 2013 - Kelley received a subcontract to perform architectural work for in the BioSecurity Research Institute at Kansas State University.  This is our second project in this labratory facility.

July 10, 2013 -  Kelley will be the metal building dealer for a new 25,000sf treatment plant building at the National Cooperative Refinery Association in McPherson.  Along with our partners at VP Buildings, we will be furnishing a complete building envelope.

June 24, 2013 - We were awarded a contract to construction a new Vehicle Wash Bay facility in Alma, Kansas for the Kansas Department of Transportation and the City of Alma.

May 16, 2013 - Congratulations to the students in the Design+Make studio in the Department of Architect at Kansas State for completing the design and construction of the showerhouse and cabin at Camp Daisy Girls Scout Camp.  An amazing amount of work was accomplished. 

May 14, 2013 - Kelley is pleased to be chosen the Construction Manager for Topeka Baptist Church's new 15,000sf addition.  Construction has already begun.

May 1, 2013 - Work on the new playground at Sunset Zoo is nearing completion as the City of Manhattan is now installing playground features.

April 19, 2013 - Kelley is aiding the architectural students at K-State in the design-build studio with a new splash park, shower building, and pump house.  We aided in exterior construction last summer and are now helping with interior work.

April 10, 2013 -  We will again spend our summer in Manhattan with a trio of projects at Kansas State.  A new ADA ramp and sidewalk will be added near Ackert Hall, Parking Lot B2 north of Claflin Road will be repaved and upgraded, and Claflin Road will be closed next to Dykstra Hall for repairs to a utility tunnel. 

March 18, 2013 - Work has begun on a new rose garden in Mt. Hope Cemetery.  This tranquil setting will add to this historic cemetery.

February 20, 2013 - Kelley began work on their first project at the Sunset Zoo in Manhattan.  This small project consists of a deck and walkway for the new childrens playground area.

February 13, 2013 - Framing is well underway on the Shelton Residence.  When on site, it is hard to believe that you are in midtown Kansas City, Missouri.

January 12, 2013 - St. Philippine Duchesne Catholic Church was blessed in Westwood, KS.  Kelley feels fortunate to have been a part of this beautiful renovation and hope they have years of success.

November 26, 2012 - Kelley began work on the Shelton Residence, a high concept residence in the crossroads area of Kansas City.  This is our fourth project in Kansas City this year as we continue to adapt to new markets.

November 20, 2012 - We are excited about being the successful bidder on the remodel of the Washburn Athletic Department offices.

November 16, 2012 - We recently installed a GravelPave pervious paving system for a courtyard project.  It allows pervious paving that is also handicap accessible.  We are seeing a trend toward pervious pavings in many forms.


October 26, 2012 - Kelley completed our third pre-engineered metal building project of the year and have two more to complete before finishing the year.

August 9, 2012 - We received award of a restroom upgrade project in the Petro Center of Washburn University.  We continue to be appreciative of the Facilities Department at Washburn University and the work we've been able to do for them.

July 16, 2012 - Our work began on the Fiber Building for the Kansas City Art Institute to provide carpentry work for complete renovation of 17,500 sf of new student space.  This marks over 15 projects for colleges and universities.

July 3, 2012 - St. Philippine Duchesne Catholic Church chose Kelley as their contractor for their church renovation in Westwood, Kansas.  This adds to our presence in the Kansas City area and continued emphasis on church projects.

June 15, 2012 - Washburn University held their first play in the renovated Garvey Fine Arts Theater.  New seating and ADA upgrades highlight these renovations.

June 8, 2012 - We were awarded a contract to expand the Kansas State University Central Mail Facility.  This project will double the area of the facility within the existing building. 

May 16, 2012 - Kelley was low bidder for the Replacement of the North Plaza and Fountain Repairs at the Kansas Judicial Center.  This $632,000 project will replace deteriorating concrete walkways and rework the large fountains at the front entrance to the building which houses the Kansas Supreme Court as well as other courts.

April 19, 2012 - Kelley has been awarded the Printing Press Relocation to Dole Hall for Kansas State University.  This project consists of opening existing garage and storage areas to allow the university to move their printing operation on campus.

April 6, 2012 - Kelley has entered into a partnership with the Girls Scouts of NE Kansas and NW Missouri, the Kansas State University School of Architect, and el dorada architects to transform the senior studio of Design-Make's final project into reality at Camp Daisy Hindman Camp's new splash park.  We will be building the senior studios design for the pump house and shower house under the direction of the studio and it's facilitators, el dorado architects.

March 19, 2012 - Kelley will soon begin the erection of a new pre-engineered metal building in the Jeffries Energy Center power plant for Westar.  This building will have 42' eaves and a large mezzanine 24' off the floor capable of supporting large equipment.  We are furnishing the Varco Pruden building under a separate contract.

March 2, 2012 - Kelley would like to congratulate two of our Echo Ridge partners on recent awards.  Cook Flatt & Strobel won a national Engineering Excellance Award from the American Council of Engineering Companies for their site work design.  el dorado won an international award in affordable housing from Residential Architect's magazine and will be featured in the March issue.

February 5, 2012 - Kelley has completed our first 20 years of business and is excited for the next 20.  Although the last couple of years have challenged all contractors, we are continuing to produce quality projects for quality customers.


December 15, 2011 - Kelley received the contract to replace the seating and add ADA access to Washburn University's Garvey Fine Arts Theater.  This along with our work on the Mulvane Art Museum makes six projects that Kelley has performed for Washburn.


October 21, 2011 - Kelley is glad to be a part of Boulevard Brewery's cellar expansion project.  We will be providing carpentry work and interior sheet metal work.  No, we're not getting paid by the keg.


September 21, 2011 - Planted roofs were placed on the Echo Ridge buildings.  These roofs soak up normal rainfall and don't produce large amounts of runoff saving site drainage.

July 11, 2011 - Work continues on the sustainable buildings for the Echo Ridge housing development.  When completed, solar power, vegatative roofs, insulated concrete formed walls and roofs, and numerous other green construction practices will provide a unique living experience.

July 7, 2011 - Kelley is continuing our work for Kansas State University with the repairs to exterior stairs at Derby Food Center, Ford Hall, and Moore Hall as a part of our on-call contract with KSU.


June 1, 2011 - Work has started on to perform a summer renovation at the Middle School for Royal Valley School District in Mayetta.


May 2, 2011 - Continuing our streak, we received our National AGC Safety Award for 2010.  This award is for having zero incidence rate and/or being 25% below the national lost day average.  We had no injury accidents in 2010.


March 25, 2011 - Kelley has broken ground and started construction for an addition to the Spinal Relief Center of Kansas.  We are glad to assist their expanding business.


March 15, 2010 -  Kelley received notice that we have been awarded a contract for renovation of a research laboratory in the Pat Roberts BioSecurity Center for Kansas State University. 


December 7, 2010 - Kelley received word that our Jardine Building 8 Tower project will receive an Award of Excellancy at the January 21 Associated General Contractors Building Awards Luncheon.  This project contains elaborate millwork and finishes.  It was an honor to work with Kansas State University Housing and Dining Services on this special project.

November 10, 2010 - Kelley continues their association with the Great Overland Station.  They successfully moved a historic Santa Fe depot and caboose from Globe, Kansas to the new railroad park east of the Station.  Kelley is providing the foundations and railroad tracks for the depot, caboose, and five additional railcars.

 October 19, 2010 - A ground breaking ceremony was held for the new Echo Ridge housing development.  Designed to provide "green" low income housing, Kelley has be contracted to build the community center and two model duplexes.  The structures will feature sustainable items such as planted roofs, photovoltaic panels, large amounts of recycled materials, and geothermal heating.


September 22, 2010 - Kelley was low bidder for the  Phase 4, State Defense Building HVAC Replacement/Office Remodel.  This will be the third project for the Kansas National Gaurd this year.
